JESSICA DIPASQUALE
Coaches Comments Coach Annie: There are so many positive things to say about Jess. She is always friendly, encourages others, and is wonderful at welcoming and helping new members (Jess has her CrossFit Level I certification.) She is very strong, and is always working to get better. Jess is a great motivator to others, and she bakes great cookies! Coach W: Jess is the backbone and the positive energy of our AM group. She is not only one of the strongest woman in our gym physically, she is the support and strength to many of the other athletes she works out with daily. (She even rowed a half marathon to support a group of members who ran a half marathon). Always laughing or with a smile on her face, Jess is humble and kind beyond measure. She is just an all around fantastic person. Jess will stop her own workout to ensure another athlete’s safety and form is correct in order for them to get the best out of their workout. Even though it seems like she is always putting others before herself, she herself has undergone such an amazing transformation this past year. She even faced her own fears and ran a 10k (all with an existing ACL injury and a few other issues). All of this, while being a mom to three kids who are all active athletes with busy schedules and goals to crush of their own. There hasn’t been one goal she's created for herself that she hasn’t been able to surpass.
What is the biggest change you’ve seen in yourself since you started CrossFit? Mental strength. I've been CrossFitting for 6 years and it's a constant change but mentally I can push harder and work in the heat of the "CrossFit suck" pretty well.
What do you like about it? Workouts are great and rewarding and I like setting goals and working towards them but it's definitely the people. There's nothing like suffering through a workout with people who are giving it their all. Going through that together creates a bond. There is someone who does something to motivate me everyday at the 5:15 a.m. class. ❤
What is your favorite CrossFit movement? Why? Rowing because even when it hurts I can still grind through it.
What would you say to someone who wants to try it? Dooooiiiiiit! It will absolutely change your life. You will be challenged physically and mentally and you will meet some of the greatest people you've ever met.
What is something people might not know about you? This year I ran the longest distance I have ever run...7 miles :)
